Are you celebrating enough?
What have you and your podcast achieved recently?
Whenever I sit down to write about podcasting I tend to concentrate on something which will help you to make your podcast better.
This week though I wanted to remind you to be proud of the content that you make and that you should take time to celebrate your achievements.
Last week at our January MIC’s Podcast Club event we opened the evening by cheering some of the things our members have accomplished recently.
They ranged from publishing 100 episodes (bravo, Lindsay!) to being recognised at the Discover Pods Awards (Steph was a runner up) and Paul scoring his highest performing episode of all time.
I even got a clap for working on my first video shoot (albeit not for a podcast).
So this week I want you to sit back and reflect on any milestones you and your podcast have reached recently.
Have you had any lovely comments from a listener? Maybe you released your 10th, 50th or 100th episode? Has a new person signed up for your Patreon?
Whatever it is, don’t let it slide without acknowledging it. Give yourself a pat on the back for once.
Sure, we all want to be better. But we should also take time to cheer our success too.
Whatever you’ve achieved with your podcast, here’s to another week of being ace!
